Item:264037185980Up for auction is a very scarce and intact untranslated parchment papal bull dated to the papacy of Pius X, pope from 1903 to 1914. This bull is in Latin and includes several signatures of the Roman Curia near the bottom. The original lead seal (or "bulla") of Pius X is attached to the document by silk thread. The bull measures approx. 14 1/2 x 9 1/4 inches and is in very good condition...the reverse side contains an imperfection in the parchment near the center, but it's hardly noticeable at all from the front side. Pius X is one of only a handful of popes to be canonized as a saint over the last 500 years. He was canonized by Pope Pius XII in 1954. It's quite rare to see an intact bull from this pope on the market... Guaranteed to be completely genuine, so please bid with confidence! Shipping is $8 within the USA and $15 anywhere else. Payment must be arranged within 3 days after the closing of the auction. Please email me with any questions. Thank you!Material:Parchment, Region:Europe, Type:Handwritten Manuscript, Subject:Religion, Bibles, Original/Facsimile:Original, Language:Latin
